Kayree Cordon is a freshman in high school. When asked what her favorite movie is she said “My favorite rom com is to all the boys I’ve loved before because I can truly relate to how Laura Jean is feeling with Peter Covinsky from personal experience. That movie is kind of like my comfort movie for when I am feeling down or just not myself it kind of brings me back if that makes sense at all. It just brings me back to personal memories and I remember the comfort I felt in those times.”
Sharon Ngumibi is a freshman in Rocktown high school. “My favorite rom com is the notebook because it shows true love that can overcome so many obstacles like time and social class. I like how the movie is built on shared experiences and a really deep connection, and I hope one day to have something even as close to what they had, I know it was acting but I really think that true love is real, you just need to find the right person for you. It might take time but you have to leave it to God because he will send you someone when the time is right.” she says
Reemna Zeray is a freshman. She said, “My favorite som com is how to lose a guy in 10 days because I like the plot of the movie and how it shows that love is real. Ben and Andy fell in love when they did not even mean to. I also like how the movie is pretty old because I like old rom coms like that, the new ones are okay but the old movies are just so much better. The old movies give more of the love or romantic feeling when you are watching them, I feel like it really shows how the actors feel, and yeah that is why I like how to lose a guy in 10 days”.
