Juniors Are Victorious In First Powderpuff Game

The first-ever Powderpuff for Rocktown happened homecoming week on Tuesday, September 24, 2025. Seniors vs Juniors played against each other. The Juniors came out with the win with a final score of 28-7.

Junior Iandra Garcia responds to scoring the first ever Powderpuff touchdown of Rocktown off the first drive. “Oh, it was great. It was exciting. And, it really got us turned up”.

Junior Dalwina Cipria-Nova said she liked playing quarterback and thought that playing QB was easy. “It was as the first time. But then later on it was not that hard, it was interesting though.

Senior Shirin Kaussler replied “I had fun, I personally don’t play football. But, for my first time it was fun”.

Keyon Benton is a junior at Rocktown High School. This is his second year at RHS, he’s been in harrisonburg for 16 years now. Keyon when he’s in school he likes learning about history because he wants to know how america got like this. What Keyon does outside of school that he enjoys is playing sports or playing video games. he sports Keyon plays are football and basketball, he is excited for this upcoming season for both sports. He also loves be lazy when he has a chance. He hardly gets to do that because how busy he is all the time so when he does he takes advantage of it. His family that is in the house hold is his mom, grandma, lil brother and his lil brother’s dad. He also has a dog that he loves being lazy with the dog name is Copper and he is a mixed breed with pit and lab.

Ny’Saun Brown is a yearbook, journalism and broadcasting staff member. He is new to yearbook and journalism, but has been involved with the broadcasting network for 4 years. He enjoys the interactive part of broadcasting and the exposure of his work. Ny’Saun is on the football team and the indoor and outdoor track team for our rocktown raptors! Ny’Saun enjoys active activities such as running, basketball, and football. Ny’Saun also enjoys playing video games with his friends. He loves to give our rocktown athletes more exposure so he often covers stories that involve athletics. Ny’Saun can’t wait to see how our rocktown broadcasting youtube channel will grow this year.
